So I'm thinking I ran about 4.0 miles.

This run really proved just how ghetto my home turf is. About every house I passed had some kind of eye sore. Trash, rust buckets with wheels (cars), or weeds instead of grass, it was pretty sad. It made me feel a little better about the block I live on. At least most of my fellow home owners kept our yards looking pretty good.

3rd Ride.

Trail: Right side of City Creek
Dist: 9.5miles

I and Glen Finally rode together today. We went up the right side of City Creek, but first we went on a small detour. I wanted to mark out another mile in a different direction for running. After the detour we headed on up the trail.

Has always, Glen started off fast and strong up the trail. I had a hard time keeping up, but I managed to never let him leave my sight. I wonder why he always does that, seems to ware him self out. He slowed down up top and I was able to catch my breath a bit. I will say he did better then me on the up-hill. I need to get in a few more rides.

We made it up to the jumps, there where some guys up there in all downhill gear jumping and doing some drops. One of them was egging me on to drop down this 2 foot drop into a steep hill, then up another steep hill, and then jump up a step up. I thought about doing it, but chickened out.

On the way down I almost lost it around a corner that would have meant death or hospitalization. I would have ridden off an edge that is so steep that I wouldn't have stopped until the bottom. Good thing I managed to gain control again. I was a little sore from running my first 6:30sec mile yesterday.
The trail was full of hikers on the way up. I also ran accross a deer leg in the middle of the trail (gross!) Guess it's a good reminder there are Mountain Lions in the area.

I felt like stopping a few times, but didn't. Made it to the top with out any breaks. I forgot how much uphill that trail has. I made it up all the switch backs, infact my foot never set foot on any dirt until the top. The view was bla. to much polution to see much.

The down hill was great, fast and reckless once again. I only passed one couple hiking on the way down. I guess everyone was just out on there lunch breaks.

All in all a great ride.

PS, Glen is going to borrow my bike today for a ride, he says he forgot his, but happend to bring all his gear.... umm sound fishy : )

OH GREAT NEWS, JUST FOUND OUT GLENS GOING TO BE A DAD!!!! It paid off!
Trail: Right side of City Creek
Dist: 7.5miles

Today I went up the right side of City Creek. It was an awesome ride!
I didn't stop for any breaks and rode up to the free style area.

I rode around the free style area for a bit, it looked has though people where making new jumps and more wooden platforms and what not. Pretty dope.

The down hill was great, the dirt was hard packed no lose stuff, and because it was so early in the year I don't think any even rode the trail today. I hauled ass down hill. flat out wreckless! it was great.

On my way back through downtown on south temple, I drop these stairs I always do, then keep riding. Well about 2 buildings down pass the stairs I pass the heavy set guy. He makes eye contact with me, he looks upset. He says "You need to be riding in the streets not on the side walk" I slam on my breaks, rip off my head phones, baring my teeth at him the whole time. I raise my voice double what his was and say rudely "Do you have any idea how dangerous riding in the streets downtown with out a bike lane is?" He responds, "It’s illegal, and a cop would tell you the same, plus your going way to fast." I respond "I'll wait for a cop to tell me the same" And I rode off.

Anyway the guy was right, I should be in the road. I was riding too fast. Why do I get so mad? That guy could have fallen on me and killed me instantly if he wanted. Maybe he saw me drop the stairs and was jealous
